Compare between MBI5124 and ICN2037

MBI5124 is a model of Taiwan Macroblock company with long experiences in LED display area. ICN2037 is Chinese brand which grow to the biggest market in LED display area. Their features and function are almost the same, while MBI5124 is more stable and reliable. Here we list their different features as below:

1. Constant current output range

MBI5124: 1-25mA@VDD=5V

         1-10mA@VDD=3.3V

ICN2037: 3~45mA×16@VDD=5V

         3~30mA×16@VDD=3.3V

MBI5124 is smaller current output range, it means less power consumption, longer life span.

2.  Output current accuracy

MBI5124: between channels: ±1.5% (typ.) and ±2.5% (max.)

           between ICs: ±1.5% (typ.) and ±3% (max.)

ICN2037: Between channel :< ±3.0%

         Between ICs :< ± 2.5%

From the above accuracy rate, we can see MBI5124 is less tolerance and more accurate.

3. Response of output current

MBI5124: OE (min.): 50ns with good uniformity

ICN2037: OE (min):40ns@VDD=5V

MBI5124 is faster than ICN2037, better uniformity.

Nowadays seldom domestic clients choose MBI5124 since the cost is much higher than ICN2037 or other Chinese brands. Some overseas clients still prefer MBI5124 for outdoor fixed LED Display since it’s very stable and reliable.
